Wildland Ecology Technologies is a 501(c)(3) restoring land scarred by wildfire, pollution, drought, and ecological disruption - combining ecological restoration, youth STEM education, and food justice to build stronger relationships between people, land, and water. In Colorado, we restore 1,000+ acres of burn scar through beaver dam analogs, water catchment systems, native species planting, and wildfire risk reduction. In New York, we steward recovering wetlands near a Superfund site. Since 2020, our projects have sequestered hundreds of tons of CO2. Future initiatives include drone surveys, LIDAR modeling, and 3D water-flow simulation to advance data-driven restoration. Rachel Fish (Founder), a software developer, turned to eco-restoration after the Cameron Peak Fire burned 200,000+ acres near her home. Christina Thompson (Director) contributes expertise in watersheds and streamflow, while Taryn Brown (Director) advises on natural resource stewardship and environmental studies.
